The Hu-M mouse is a unique pre-clinical platform for translational research as it allows for the testing of novel therapeutics in the context of the human immune system. The Hu-M mouse is a complete pre-clinical platform as it eliminates the need for the development of surrogate molecules to be tested in traditional mouse/non-human primate models because of the incompatability of the mouse/non-human primate and human immune systems.
